Well, here I am in the Vancouver airport, waiting for my 2:00 AM flight to Hong Kong. It's been pretty uneventful so far- my dad and I started out in the Campbell River airport at around five (the family shed a few tears at my departure. Mom started it!) and we landed in YVR airport at around 6:30 PM. The flight here was a little bumpy, and I felt a little ill. However, that may be because the man in front of me smelled like either B.O. or salami, and spent most of the trip picking his nose.
All the same. I am really excited to get to Perth! But I still have a long time to go. It's going to be a little lonely on the way to Hong Kong- my dad and I have to split up around one. But I am meeting a fellow YWAMer when I get there, so that should be okay.
Anyways, I will probably write (type? blog?) again once I get to Hong Kong. Goodbye until then!

ReplyDeleteOOoh I am totally going to creep your blog :)
ReplyDeleteNice blog Hayley! I hope you update it often! Wouldn't you have been disappointed if I didn't cry a little at your departure? :)
ReplyDeleteLove Mom
Well my sweet darling, our time is nearly up. I will surely miss you these 6 months but I know God has his hand upon you. God will use this time to help us all pray a little more, trust Him a little more.
ReplyDeleteYour adventure has already begun! What with nose picking fellow travelers (not me!) and drunk young ladies proclaiming to be Christians while eyeing up your stuff. Be as wise as a serpent and gentle as a dove, hold on to your things and most importantly hold on to God and his sure promises.
Love you sweet heart!
Dad.
